In Seignosse, autumn 2026 will be all about the waves. From 19 to 27 September, the Quiksilver Festival will bring together surfing, skateboarding, music and creativity. A few weeks later, from 17 to 25 October, France’s best athletes will return to the beaches of the southern Landes for the French Surfing Championships.

Nine days of surfing, music and culture
From 19 to 27 September 2026, the Quiksilver Festival by Swatch will once again take over the iconic surf spots of Seignosse, Hossegor and Capbreton.
For nine days, the festival will bring together the many sides of board culture: sessions with some of the world’s best surfers, skateboarding, concerts, DJ sets, film screenings and artistic performances. A packed programme designed to keep the energy of summer alive along the Landes coast.
The 2026 edition will be under the artistic direction of SO ME, an iconic figure in French visual culture. The music programme will be curated by Pedro Winter and the Ed Banger Records family, featuring Busy P, Myd, Breakbot & Irfane, along with several special guests.
Seignosse will also host some of the festival’s highlights, including a major skate session at Le Penon. Throughout the rest of the week, visitors will move between Plage de la Nord in Hossegor and the cultural and festive venues of Capbreton.
The Quiksilver Festival is the perfect opportunity to experience the area differently: surfing at sunrise, a walk beneath the pine trees in the afternoon and a concert to round off the evening.

The French Surfing Championships
Back in the southern Landes
From 17 to 25 October 2026, it’s time for competition with the 62nd edition of the French Surfing Championships by Banque Populaire.
For nine days, nearly 550 competitors selected from across France are expected to take to the surf spots of Hossegor, Seignosse and Capbreton. Junior and Open athletes will compete for national titles across nine disciplines: shortboard, longboard, bodyboard, bodysurf, kneeboard, SUP surfing, surf tandem, para surfing and adaptive para surfing.
More than just a competition, the French Championships are a true celebration of French surfing. They offer a rare opportunity to discover the diversity of the sport, support the talents of tomorrow and watch France’s best surfers compete on waves renowned around the world.
As locations and schedules may change depending on ocean conditions, staying in Seignosse means remaining at the heart of the area and within easy reach of the different competition sites.
